Faith Networking for Passionate Spirituality
They were all together in one place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. (Acts 2.1-2)
What you will experience at Thirst
The Spirit of God.
You will be welcomed into a small group of young adults (about 5 to 10 people) who share food, drinks, and stories of experiencing the Spirit at work in the world and thirsting for more. As we journey through life, it is empowering to have companions to accompany us along the way. If we're mostly worried about getting to our destination, we miss the joy of the journey. If all we want is to quench our thirst with fixed answers, we miss the transforming power of God's Spirit in our lives. There's no agenda, no pre-selected topic. We simply share what our journey through life has been like lately . . .with all of it's ups and downs. Then in our conversation we experience God's Spirit emerging, percolating among us as we discover God reframing our journies and sending us on our ways to live in the fullness of life.
Where you can connect with Thirst
When you come to a thirst event in one of the bars or coffee shops around Milwaukee, you'll be able to pick us out of the crowd. We're the group with a drink in hand, scripture and other resources on the table, and smiles on our faces -- probably laughing about something dumb like the on-going debate whether Brett Favre will un-retire.
